A Beach Thanksgiving

For the Powers family Thanksgiving we did something different and headed to the beach. Stephanie and Jared were going to be down there camping and the travel would be shorter for Grandma and Grandpa so we all did a little extra traveling for a different kind of Thanksgiving. So Thursday after we finished with the Richter's we hopped in the car and headed to the coast. Thankfully it was at nap time so Bailey was passed out, and our new car has a dvd player so Jaxson was content for hours!

We arrived late that night, just in time for dinner and some cousin fun! A picnic dinner with Cousin Ian.

The next morning we enjoyed coffee on the patio while listening to the waves. Scott, Jaxson, Ian and Jared had a special treat and had donuts down by the water!
After breakfast we headed out to the beach to get sandy and wet...Ian quickly accomplished both!

Bailey was not a fan of her time at the beach. It was really windy and pretty chilly, and every time she got sand on her hands she asked for a towel....hanging out in the car was more her favorite.
These two however had a blast!
Next up was a trip on the ferry and a visit to the candy store. The candy store had a huge rattle snack, and candy bins that were just the right height for Bailey to dig in...Oops!

After nap was over we dug into the fantastic Thanksgiving meal that was prepared...what wasn't captured were the fabulous pies! Grandma outdid herself on the pies this year! YUM!
And after dinner we relaxed, it was great!
The kids absolutely loved the extra time with Cousin Ian and Bailey was asking "Inny" as she calls him after we left. Unfortunately our visit was short, but memorable all the same! It was a great beach thanksgiving for us!
