Busy, Busy

We have been so busy...all of us, its just crazy!

Scott has been busy with construction projects around the house, we've finally got our crushed granite driveway in around our house. Scott's vision of the project came together perfectly, he certainly has a talent for those projects. We've all had our construction hats on and stayed out of his way.

I've been busy preparing for the big trip to Colorado for Nikki's wedding and of course planning all of the perfect details for the big birthday for Miss Bailey!
Jaxson has been busy playing..inside, outside...on bikes, on playscapes, on beds, with toys, without toys, dancing, and singing...and well pretty much anything you can imagine!
Bailey has been busy getting into everything, standing on her own, walking by holding mom and dad's hands, testing how serious we are when we say "no"...and teething! Poor thing just can't catch a break on this teething, this new one has been horrible!
In between all of our busy schedule we celebrated Mr. Ian's big birthday! The weather was perfect and he was adorable as always!
When the cedar isn't kicking my butt we've been roaming around in our toys.
And when the cedar is kicking my butt...we play inside.
Despite this crazy busy schedule we've had lately I'm sure glad we can squeeze in some fun. Like a fun hockey game for Scott and Jaxson with our church. Or a last minute dinner with our fabulous neighbors. Or a fun date night with some friends. Or dinner with our community group.
Amongst all of the busy moments that fill our day...we sure are thankful to have such great kids to fill our home with love, laughter and a whole lot of smiles!

Eleven Months Old!

Happy eleven months to our busy little Bailey!
Yep...it happened, we have hit the eleventh month and are officially on the fast track to having a one year old! OH MY!! This past month can be wrapped up in one word...busy. This little girl is a busy body. There is no tv show, toy or activity that can occupy her for an extended period of time. She's always on the go!
She is a dare devil and our little bruiser. She can take a fall like a boy and get up and keep on going. Daycare tells me they will watch her and expect a huge cry...nope, she's too busy to stop and cry!
We are filling these adorable cheeks with nothing but table food. That's right, at ten months old she decided she was big stuff and didn't want to have anything to do with the spoon. So we've been experimenting with all sorts of yummy food. Bailey, like Jaxson loves her fruits! She also loves to make a mess, and finish of a good meal by rubbing the mess on her hands all over her hair. She leaves no inch of her body untouched from the mess she has had for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Bailey hasn't picked up any words yet other than Mama, Dada and Bubba- but she has picked up some new sounds. She'll say "ooh" to everything, she especially loved the Christmas tree. She has started a little bit of "uh oh". She's constantly babbling and I'm sure once she does get those words figured out she will be giving us a earful. Scott is always saying that he can't wait for her to start talking. Her sweet little voice is just too precious!

Bailey not only got her two front teeth for Christmas...she got all four top teeth for Christmas! They took their sweet time and are still inching down one tooth at a time. Her big gummy smile will give you a peek every now and then of those white pearly teeth.
So far Bailey has had no interesting in walking on her own. In fact she isn't really interesting in walking with you while you are holding her fingers- honestly I think we aren't going fast enough for her and she figures she can get to where she wants to be on her knees. I'm telling you when this girl gets to walking she will probably just run everywhere. So far she's mastered the art of standing up on her own, which she is just fine with at the moment...and so are we.
We are so in love with our sweet cuddly Bailey. This first eleven months have been a blast and we can't wait to celebrate her big birthday this next month!

The Shopping Cart

None of my videos of Bailey pushing her shopping cart will load, maybe they are too big- who knows! So Bailey got this awesome shopping cart from Nana and Bunca for Christmas...it is full of every baby doll we probably have in this house. She LOVES this shopping cart! There are few things that occupy this child for an extended period of time, except for the shopping cart! One night she must have done five laps around the house, that's a lot of walking for this little girl! She's so focused too, its so cute. You'd think that she would walk by a shelf and be interested in everything she can see from that level- nope, she's got a mission to accomplish and away she goes. It has really helped develop her walking and balance skills, we've seen such a huge increase in her confidence in standing since we got this new fun toy.
So last night she was a little grumpy, pretty much a lack of sleep was to blame for this but the trips with the shopping cart brought it out of her. She'd be walking along and hit a wall or a rug or a chair...really anything and have a MAJOR fit...I mean major fit! Forgive me for laughing but seriously it was so funny to watch. At one point she bumped into the wall, sits down on the ground while screaming at the top of her lungs, then flops down on her belly kicking her legs and arms out and wailing around on the ground. SO. SERIOUSLY. HILARIOUS! We had to put the shopping cart up and calm down...come on she's 10 months old, what kind of drama is going to come in the coming years. Oh Bailey girl thank you for the laughs!!
