Ha!!!

So we got an IPad...it's a beautiful thing :) This is my first blog post from my ipad. I think we will have a lot of "it's my turn" around here with this new toy! Do you think Bailey was wishing it was her turn when she let out this incredible cry....maybe so!

Lighting of the Square

Last night we went to the lighting of the square in Georgetown. Well..technically we were eating dinner when the actual lighting happened, but Jaxson didn't know "exactly" what was going to happen so it was still exciting for him. The temperatures dropped a little which actually made it feel more appropriate to be out enjoying the Christmas lights.

All of the shops were open, which was fun to walk around and go into the shops. One of the little toy shops had this cute play area in the back where the kids could hang around and play with the toys. They were also showing the Christmas Story on a jumbo screen.
Jaxson and Bailey had a great night. We sure are lucky to live so close to fun events like this.

Decorating

I always tell people that the best part about this time of the year is my kids. As Jaxson has gotten older the spirit of the Christmas holiday has more excitement. We have a tradition of decorating the tree the day after Thanksgiving, Jaxson will literally jump up and down while we are getting it ready. He gets so excited with each ornament and wants to fill the tree with everything in the box. I used to want that "Southern Living" style tree with the beautiful coordinating colors, the huge ribbon and the out of a magazine look....but I LOVE our tree! I love that each ornament tells a story, a memory, a stage in our life and that it is uniquely ours.

I love that we have Bailey this year to fill the tree with new ornaments, documenting the perfect addition to our family.
The tree is in a spot where Bailey's toys used to be so it should be interesting to see how well she does with the tree. During decorating our little reindeer kept a eye on the technique of her brother so she can help next year.
And last but not least...another favorite of mine is the mantel. I love the beautiful stockings, handmade by my grandmother! Each one unique and documenting hours of her hard work and love into each one.
So there you have it, a little glimpse into our Christmas traditions.

The dogs

We did not ask the dogs to participate in these pictures, but while going through the edits I could not help but laugh at these moments. I have no idea what Marley was doing in 50% of these pictures, but you can certainly see Tanner's efforts to make a grand escape...which he did!

No Ma'am line

There's many barriers and boarders in the world..you have the Berlin Wall, the Texas state line and then there's the "no ma'am line". Jaxson is always telling us that Bailey is on the "no ma'am line" and right there to keep her from getting into whatever she shouldn't be in...like the dog water bowl...

Cousins...

Complete
And
Utter
Fail...
It's not a good idea to gather little people around this age and expect anything other than these types of photos...

Nine Months Old!

Happy nine months to our beautiful Bailey!
This past month brought on crawling! Her new found mobility makes for a busy little girl who is in to everything! Which also made pulling off these pictures even more challenging! She knows the word "no" and I just laugh at the little smile she gives when we tell her no...like her cuteness will change my mind!
Bailey continues to be such an easy baby! She takes great naps, has no issues going to sleep and is pretty adaptable. She doesn't however particularly care for her regular sleep schedule to be adjusted, sleeping beauty needs her sleep!
This past month Bailey has had some viruses, which was no fun at all! She also took her first trip to Colorado. We had our first Halloween. So lots of exciting firsts. One thing Bailey loves to do every day is clap! She gets so excited and just gets the biggest smile. Seriously the cutest thing ever!!
Bailey loves to be outside and really anywhere that Jaxson is at. Her new thing is to put everything in her mouth, so that's been interesting trying to keep up with her on that! She still only has two teeth, her precious little gummy smile is so adorable!
These next few months are going to fly by with the holidays, such a fun time of the year. I seriously can not get over that she is already nine months old. Everyday she seems to change so much, every moment is so special to us! She's given a few kisses...open mouth of course...which is so cute! There is just nothing more perfect than those sweet chubby cheeks!
We will go for her nine month check up next week, so stay tuned for the latest stats. In this month of thankfulness I certainly am melting in thankful moments for our sweet Bailey and the perfect little girl that she is!!

Thankful...

Do you ever have one of those days that is just great? Like nothing particular happened that day except life..and that alone was just great. I'm going to have to say that was certainly today, moments where I just step back and look at life and think...wow I AM Thankful!!

Thankful to have a wonderful man to sit next to me in church and hold my hand. A free afternoon to do this adorable project with my little man and dig into his brain to see what HE is thankful for. To have time to sit in the yard and melt in their love! WOW Thankful!!

To be called outside by Jaxson to see his creative mind at work. To have an incredible daddy to teach him how to be a MAN! WOW Thankful!

To have moments to lay in the grass and play airplane with the Bailey Bug. To watch her eyes light up with happiness! WOW Thankful!

To have time to do a fun project and build something together. Even if it means that Bailey will try to steal everything and put it in her mouth. WOW thankful!

And we will finish the day off with a big family dinner, our Sunday tradition and something that I love. God has certainly blessed us beyond measure- we sure are THANKFUL!!
