Construction Update

On Friday we had more progress made to prepare for our house project. An 18-wheeler dropped a load of rock on the driveway and a bobcat came and cleared the area where the house will be. They had to pull down one tree that was in the way of the driveway and also removed any stumps from trees that we had cut down before. It is so exciting to see the progress. Here's a short video of the work:

The septic engineer has turned his design over to the county so now we are waiting to hear from them on their approval. Once we get the approval we will be full speed ahead in construction of the house! We're aiming on completing everything by February.

Berry Springs Park

Today we got to enjoy another hidden beauty in Georgetown- Berry Springs Park.
We went on the swings

We went on the slide

We checked out the trees up high

And the trails down low

We took a water break

And rested a bit and talked about the birds, the trees, the leafs....

Then we headed home

This park is SO beautiful! We will be back again for sure!

20 Months Old

Wow- Jaxson is 20 months old today! He is so much fun- just listening to him laugh and chatter on and on brings smiles to us daily. He is such a friendly little man- waving at people, telling people walking by "Hi" and sharing his infectious smile. This past 20 months have gone by so fast- and we've enjoyed every minute of it!

Camera Fun...

We bought a mega zoom lense with our camera...many months ago- I honestly don't think I've used this lense once...what a shame- it captures these beautiful moments tonight.

New babies...

Yesterday we spent a wonderful evening with the McSpadden's.

Ms. Camryn was so excited to see Jaxson or Baby Jackie as she's named him. It was so cute watching them play- Camryn brought out every baby doll and dress she could find- and Jaxson found every car & McDonalds action figure he could find. They splashed in the pool, climbed the playscape and most of all loved on the newest addition a sweet Boxer named Baby Carlos. Jaxson hugged him, kissed him, tried to carry him....the sweet dog was so patient.

While the boys talked sports, Melissa and I enjoyed catching up and talking about the newest addition to come in October- Ms. Logan Grace.

Baseball

Tonight the Astons invited us to the Round Rock Express game. Jaxson enjoyed the game...I personally enjoyed talking with Carter....baseball...what baseball.

Honestly I couldn't tell you much about the game, the color of the jerseys, much less who the other team was....but Carter was pretty darn cute...he was wearing blue- a perfect match to his blue eyes (that counts-right).

Hotter than Hot...

Oh man I am so ready for summer to be over- this heat is just insane! Poor Scott is out in this heat day after day for work. I can't blame him for not wanting to go outside on the weekend. We did drag him out on Saturday we packed a lunch and spent a wonderful morning at the Brushy Creek Park.
Jaxson wasn't too sure about the sprinkler park at first:

But finally warmed up to the idea of the water before too long:

The lake looked so great- maybe on our next ride out we'll try out the canoe and see if we can get our toddler to sit still for a ride around the lake:

Sprinkler Day Mishap...

Yesterday was sprinkler day at Jaxson's school- so as always I packed his towel, swim trunks and sprinkler day shoes...or so I thought. Last night I was unpacking his bag & apparently I grabbed one sprinkler day shoe & one tennis shoe...ha! I saw his teacher this morning & had a good laugh with her - she said she opened the bag to get him dressed and was like "hmm...wonder what i'm suppose to do here".

Pictures

A couple of weeks ago we had family pictures taken by David & Kristen Hullum of Bella Luce Photography (www.bellalucephotography.net). They are dear friends of ours and have done many amazing photo sessions of us over the years. Jaxson was not in the greatest mood and the weather was extremely humid- but they did capture several great pictures as they always do!
