Pre-k Graduation

This past week we celebrated Jaxson's graduation from Pre-K at Acorn Learning Academy! We could not be more proud of our little man and excited about the next chapter in Kindergarten. We have been at Acorn since Jaxson was 12 weeks old! They have done a great job teaching him so many wonderful things and given him a great foundation for Kindergarten. I honestly think he will likely be bored in a lot of ways his first year in school because he has excelled so much from his education at Acorn. The graduation was precious! They have a small class so they did a couple of performances, some class awards and of course the graduation certificate.

This was news to me, never thought he would say this!

This is Jaxson's best friend Jimmy, Jaxson is really going to miss Jimmy! This is his teacher Ms. Crystal, we love her!
Jaxson also got some fun awards:
  • The Skor Award: For being a star athlete with a winning attitude. And...always knowing the score and who was playing who when it was needed in the class :)
  • The Smarties Award: for intelligence and hard work in all areas.
SERIOUSLY Proud of this little man! WOW!

The phone

This is a phone that Jaxson got from his friend Jimmy, the hilarious comments that have come from Jaxson as a result of this phone are incredible.  Here's a few we have enjoyed:

- Mom check out my new phone, oh wait just a second I'm getting a text ( as he walks away plucking at the keys)
- He walks up "mom I'm texting Tamaya now, oh wait she's texting her dad...I'm just waiting for her answer"
-" oh my gosh I just got 400 emails, freakin' " (Freakin' he picked up from a commercial)
-" I'm just going to bring this with me in case I get a text" as he walks to the car
-and of course the one sided conversations on the phone as he's walking through the house are priceless

.....never a dull moment with this one....

One Cool Pool...

Last weekend it was going to hit in the high 90's, on my way home on Friday I made a quick pass through Walmart and picked up this pool of fun! The kids have had a blast! It certainly did the trick in surviving the increasing temperatures, and gave me a great excuse to try to get some color on my white pasty legs! :)

Touchdown Kids

We have had Jaxson in a program in Round Rock for the last month called Touchdown Kids. Its focus is to be a non-competitive, non-agressive program that teaches the fundamentals of football and the overall understanding of the sport. Jaxson has had a great time. He's quite competitive so he'd much rather the real down and dirt action of the sport...but this mama's not quite ready for her little boy to get into that.

Mother's Day 2013

What a wonderful Mother's Day I had this year! We had no schedule, no where else to be, just a day of fun! I woke up to a bed filled with my incredible husband and my sweet, sweet children..what a fabulous way to start the day! The showered me with breakfast, a wonderful card and of course a beautiful bouquet of flowers! After breakfast we packed up the car and the cooler and headed out to Inks Lake.

We did some walking and hiking around the trails.

We had a fun picnic lunch, enjoyed some time in the shade and ventured out to the fishing pier.

We rented a canoe...

but Bailey wasn't quite as excited as the rest of us on the whole canoe experience.

So we headed for the shore while the boys ventured back out
Scott and Jaxson took a dip in the very cold water and we called it a day heading back home. The kids quickly got out into the sprinklers.

We wrapped up the day with some yummy mexican food, margaritas for the mommy and a all around FABULOUS day! Wonderful memories were made on Mother's day, I am one lucky mommy to have two VERY fantastic and incredibly adorable little kiddos!!!
