Snow Day 2010

It is STILL snowing here- it's crazy and so beautiful!! The San Gabriel River at the back of our neighborhood is so gorgeous with the snow!
We attempted to play in the snow today and made a small snowman.

Only in Texas...

On Sunday we couldn't help but get out and enjoy the beautiful Texas weather at nearly 80 degrees.








Here we are two days later and its 34 degrees and snowing...only in Texas!!!

Party Time...

Yesterday was a full day of fun for Jaxson at two birthday parties for our friends Colton and Camryn. One party had a bounce house and the other party was at a gymnastics center. Jaxson bounced and rolled and tumbled and bounced some more. We all had a blast!!

House Update

It looks like its been a few weeks since we've put a house update on here. Since our last update we've gotten:
All walls with texture

All trim and closet shelves have been installed

We've got closet doors and bedroom doors

Almost all of the rock on the front is done and the rock on the back has a good start

We're looking forward to seeing painted walls this week. Next week will bring cabinets, countertops, possibly tile and if mother nature allows possibly the septic system and propane tank. Rain continues to be a problem and has caused a few major mud issues.....but I'd say a Raccoon invasion tops the list. Here's is a pic of one of two Raccoon traps that we have set out.

This little guy left a special present in the attic and chewed through a air duct. We're hoping the trap will finally close on him instead of stay open for a free tuna meal- like what happened last night. I'm sure this is just a start for the interesting animals we will see in the future. I'd just prefer the rest of them to be on the outside of the walls of our home!

Lake Georgetown

Jaxson and I had a blast at our little adventure to Lake Georgetown today.

We checked out sticks

Ran down hills

We Rested

Checked on the very high lake water

Splashed in the water

We got wet

Very wet

But we had a blast so it was all worth it!
