Sleep Walking!!!

Today when I got to school to pick Jaxson up his teacher Ms. Elise promptly greeted me with "I have the craziest story to tell you". Apparently during nap time Jaxson was sound asleep and Ms. Elise sees him get up, gather up all of his blankets and stand up. At this point she says "Jaxson, what's wrong? What do you need", but quickly notices that he is sound asleep and sleep walking. Not sure what he's going to do she just observes. With a hand full of every sleeping item he had on his nap mat he walks right over to his friend Jordan's nap mat and lays down, fixes his blankets and is ready to nap there with Jordan. The funnier part is Jordan was wide awake when this happens and looks at Jaxson like- hmm...okay, no biggie!
Ms. Elise went over and picked Jaxson up and took him back over to his nap mat. She said it was the craziest thing she's ever seen and even more crazy that he didn't even bump into anything during all of this.
I am in total shock at this and curious if the many times I find Jaxson at the side of our bed if he's really awake!

Race Car Bed

Ever since we moved into the house Jaxson has gone back and forth with some crazy sleeping issues in his room. The sleep resolution we've resorted to for months has been allowing him to sleep on the floor....which is abruptly coming to an end with the addition of the race car bed.



Should he refuse to sleep in this bed at night...this race car with make its exit as quickly as it made its entrance...so far that concept has sunk in...we'll see how well that goes tonight we he has to actually sleep in it.
Here's to hoping the best!!

Awesome Ladies Retreat

I had an amazing opportunity this weekend to go on a ladies retreat with our church. My AMAZING husband gave me this free weekend without even think twice and I was on cloud nine as the days ticked away to this weekend. We headed out to this amazing log cabin out on Lake LBJ with an amazing group of ladies. The weekend was filled with heartfelt conversations, new friendships and amazing hours surrounding this fantastic pool and time by the lake.


Did I mention it was amazing weekend....cause it was! Even more amazing was coming home to my precious men surrounded by hugs and kisses and stories of their father/son weekend!

Baby Mollee

Today I did my first newborn photo session with this beauty Mollee. When I learned this sweet little one made it into the world I wanted to jump on the chance to build my portfolio of pics and asked if I could come over and do a session for them. They thankfully jumped on the chance and we couldn't have caught her at a better time as she's just two weeks old. There really are SO many great pictures, it was so hard to pick the best ones. I really had a lot of fun and she couldn't be any cuter!!

This gorgeous dresser was her great grandma's who she was named after, I just had to include this in the pictures. She had the CUTEST room ever!

Dancing

Dave Matthews Band was the opening act for the opening of NFL Football tonight. Jaxson appears to love Dave Matthews Band as much as Mommy & Daddy do....although I can't say I've ever danced like this to his music. Love it!!

Charlotte's Web

This huge spider web was created overnight by this huge spider. The location she picked for her huge web could have resulted in a few very unhappy people.
This web is in the middle of the door that goes from our bedroom to the backyard. So thankfully the dogs didn't have to make a trip outside in the middle of the night or we would have had this huge web and huge spider on our face!!

College Football 2010

Last year I did post here of pics of all of the first Texas A&M football games that Scott & Jaxson have watched together. While the Aggies game isn't televised today I wanted to hold true to the tradition with a special "Gig Em" pic of the happy boys from this morning.

First Dentist

Jaxson had his first Dentist appointment today and he did SO great! The days before we talked about the different doctors and how a dentist was different than the doctors he had been seeing. He was very excited to go and wanted to be sure that Fluffy George came along for the visit.

Fluffy George fit right in as the doctor also had a special pet that helped show Jaxson all of his teeth, how she brushes his teeth and looks inside his mouth.

Next it was Jaxson's turn, this visit he sat on my lap and she did a little look around and brushed some flouride on. He held tight to Fluffy George and did a great job opening his mouth for her. His teeth are perfect and he has plenty of room in there for his permanent teeth. There are no signs of his few years with a paci which I was thankful to hear.
