Happy Halloween

Jaxson is not a fan of having stuff on his face, head, shoulders, waist....you name it. So I struggled to figure out what to dress him as- Grammie Janis got Jaxson this ADORABLE outfit for his Halloween costume. He's worn it multiple times now without any problems- success in my book!! We even brought his Doctor bag to school & all of the kids had so much fun playing doctor.
Scott & I had a lot of fun at the Fall Festival at Jaxson's school, here's some pictures of the costume, activities and pictures of the many pumpkins we have here at home.

The Life...

We had a very exciting moment yesterday- Jaxson told me that he needed to poop- and he really pooped on the potty. He'll sit on that potty & pee like a champ- but this time he really did it! Since we've started "potty training" our water bill has literally doubled- but its worth it.

Yes we have become the couple who gets excited about poop. The couple who falls asleep at 9:30 on a Friday night. The couple who chooses to spend their Saturday night grocery shopping with their toddler so he can burn some energy running up & down the aisles. And while we sound like a very boring couple- we love every minute of it. Especially when our little man turns his sweet little face & says "I lode you".

Saturday

Today we headed out to Berry Springs Park, where we visited back in August (here). Our last visit was very hot & there was very little water in the park. This trip was full of beautiful weather & lots of water. It was Archeology Day at the park- although we didn't do many/any archeology related activities, it sure was nice to go back out to that park. Here's some pictures of our morning.

This afternoon we carved our pumpkin....let me correct that statement- I carved the pumpkin. Jaxson thought it was nasty & told me that I needed to get clean. His idea of help was taking the pumpkin seeds & putting them back into the pumpkin. He started singing his "pick up" song from school while putting the seeds back- I guess he didn't quite get it. I can't remember the last time I carved a pumpkin, it was a lot of work- but fun.
The end result is what Scott has named our "Snagle-toothed Pumpkin".

Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday we headed out to Marble Falls with the Aston family to the Pumpkin Patch. I had such great expectations of how this day would go....and boy was I wrong.
First of all- there's a reason they call that area the Hill Country - there are hills- and we learned the hard way and Jaxson does get car sick. So his adorable outfit I expected to capture in my pictures- was now removed & replaced with whatever we could find at the Wal-mart in Marble Falls...nice. After a quick lunch & a few detours from our trusty GPS we finally arrived- at Jaxson's normal nap time. Suffice to say he was not in the greatest mood...and frankly neither was I. I captured so many cute pictures- of the back of his head. I bought a pony ride ticket- that we never used because the line was like 2 hours long. He ran around the open fields, climbed piles upon piles of pumpkins- overall I think he had a good time and we did get a pumpkin. Lesson learned for myself- pack extra outfits, go earlier, pack a lunch & leave your expectations at home!!! Hello genius- you have a toddler.

Fun Day!

Yesterday Scott enjoyed a very fun day with his friends at the Texas A&M football game. They were lucky enough to get free tickets in the players family section on the 50 yard line!! Despite the Aggies losing, the guys had a great time.

While Scott was cheering on the Aggies Jaxson & I had a very fun day. We started off by heading down to market days in downtown Georgetown. The firemen were there & Jaxson got his picture taken with Jackson the fireman & even got to sit in the firetruck- he loved it!!

We finished off our morning outing with a trip to the library, which Jaxson always loves because they have a Jeep that he gets to play on.
After a morning nap we met up with Aunt Nikki & her friend Erin at the Cedar Rock Railroad for a chilly train ride. Despite the shocked face throughout the ride Jaxson enjoyed the train ride.

After the train ride we headed over to Jungle Java so Jaxson could burn some more energy- and get out of the cold!

We finished off the night with a family dinner at Steph & Jared's house. It was a full day for all of us & a fun day for sure!!

Counting

Jaxson can count to 10! Well technically he can count to 11- which sounds more like "narly". This video is pretty cute :)

The Boys

My friend Shaunna's little boy Will is 11 days older than Jaxson- it was fun being pregnant at the same time as her & now that the boys are growing older its fun to share stories about them too. We don't get together enough with the boys- but we were able to get together for a little playdate at Jungle Java this weekend. Here's a few pictures over the last year and a half of their little playdates:
