House Updates

It has been a couple of weeks since we've given a update on the house and shown some new pictures. There has been a lot of activity on the floor, the roof, inside the walls and outside the walls. Here's some pics for your viewing pleasure:
The stucco has started and should be finished next week (you can also see the finished roof in this picture)

The fiberglass has been installed in our shower:

The frame is finished, the electrical, security, surround, phone and cable wires are installed. This is a view from the greatroom looking into the kitchen and a little of the dining room:

The a/c's are installed:

This is the media room upstairs, a room that Scott & I designed- and it turned out great:

The stained floors turned out great:

After an entire weekend of OCD like cleaning the house was spotless....was being the key word- looks like Scott will be back out there this weekend cleaning up.
So what is next.... after the stucco is done the exterior will get painted, then the exterior rock and rock fireplace will be installed. Insulation followed by drywall are the next major interior milestones...and ones I'm really looking forward to seeing. It's been an exciting process and one that we can finally see the end to all of this. I hope that's a good enough update for now.

Really?

Really? Does this look like the face of a little man with a double ear infection and pink eye? Daddy took Jaxson to the doctor today and our little man has gone just over 30 days and here we are again with another ear infection.
Poor guy!

Richter Christmas 2009 in 2010

Today was the annual Richter Christmas at the farm. We all arrived safely, enjoyed chili and tamales, enjoyed gift opening, and most of all enjoyed our time together as a family. Jaxson had a brief nap on our drive out and appeared to be in a slight daze while we were there- but he had a lot of fun playing with Chase & Ashlee and was one worn out little man by the time we left.

Shoeless Jaxson

Shoeless Jaxson is the new knickname for our little man these days. Everytime we get in the car within minutes he has one shoe and sock off- but only one. It's so cute he'll get them off & we hear him whisper "its cold, its cold".

New Years 2009

I hope everyone had a safe and happy New Years. Our evening plan was far from how our evening turned out...but that's life with a toddler- you have to adapt. So adapt we did! Our plan was to go back to First Night Austin event downtown- eat dinner, enjoy the parade, take part in the activities, etc. What we did was drive 40+ minutes, pay $10 to park, walked in the blistery cold wind, walked over the bridge to enjoy the parade- left the parade before it started because Jaxson wanted to have nothing to do with it, stopped off at a free train expo that was nearby, went to a Pizza place to eat. While waiting for our food Scott & Jaxson "played" outside to not disturb others with our toddlers less than pleasant attitude. Pizza was good- the strange South Austinite that sat next to us was less than pleasant for us...and well the entire restaurant I'd say. After pizza we decided it was time to go. We enjoyed the rest of the evening at the Astons playing with Baby Carter and playing the bowling game on Wii...which Jaxson is so cute while he plays along.

All in all it was a very nice evening and we were happy to ring in the New Year as a happy, healthy family.
