Pool Progress

The past couple of weeks we have had some exciting and new progress on the pool. The weather has been nasty and delayed a lot of activity but we were excited to see the sun come out and new people show up! Here they are putting the plaster on the pool to finish the bottom coat.

The finished product is gorgeous! The bright sun makes it hard to see in this picture but its a beautiful blue.

Once that was done we were ready to start filling the pool- 36 hours later it was full! That's a lot of water!

On Friday they came and hooked up the filters and lights- the waterfall is gorgeous!! We are still waiting on the pump that runs the waterfall on the right side and the pump that runs the bubbler. We've enjoyed many nights on the porch staring at the pool, playing around with the lights on the remote and mesmerized by the sound of the waterfall.

This past week we also had our safety net installed- such a huge piece of mind! It is so neat! Scott even walked on it to test it out- its good to go! Removing it is so easy and putting it on is going good, I've helped a couple of times and am very impressed! Its so great knowing we can protect our kids and others around the pool.
Sunday it was quite chilly but Jaxson was itching to swim- Scott told him no....and really the water is 61 degrees so the kid is crazy to think about swimming. So when Bailey went down for a nap I told him he could walk around on the sun ledge with me out there- which turned into him jumping off the rocks. I didn't expect him to go to the ledge below the rocks...and I don't think he did either. We have laughed and laughed and laughed at this video....and once he got all the way in he decided he was done with the idea of swimming and quickly went inside.
We hope to see the final pumps this week and can show the finished product- we are getting there!

A Special Day for Bailey

On Bailey's actual birthday we had such a fun family day! To start the day off she requested pancakes and strawberries. We had a few gifts for her to open up.

After breakfast we got ready and headed out to a fun park in Georgetown. She insisted she wear these silly socks over her pants and the dress shoes as well. When its your birthday you can wear whatever makes you happy :)
The weather was so gorgeous, the boys played catch and we enjoyed our first stop.
Next up was a trip down to the San Gabriel river to check out the duck. The kids found a duck that had the head of a chicken and lovingly named him Chuck.
After we filled our tummies with some lunch we headed over to the Blue Hole.
The kids ran, laughed, threw rocks and had the best time!
This birthday Princess had the best day and we did too!

Bailey's 3rd Birthday Party

We had the cutest Princess Birthday Party for Bailey! She had a blast, looked precious and had the sweetest group of girls who joined her for this Royal Party!

The decorations were so much fun to put together, everything turned out so cute!
The food turned out so cute, there's so much you can do with the princess theme!

I am in love with this cake! I used a new cake lady and wasn't quite sure what to expect because anyone can show their good work...but this girl is good! So precious and such a fun cake!

The Birthday Princess!!! We surprised her with this precious Sophia the First dress, she looked gorgeous! She even requested to curl her hair!
This year we did a early morning party, which was perfect! She had five girls from her class and two other friends who joined us for the party- they all came dressed and looked gorgeous! The conversations floating around this group of girls was hilarious! I love listening to them talk at this age, they are so precious! Everyone played so well together. We had a crown craft that we did together.
The princesses (minus one who was camera shy)

Happy Birthday to the most precious 3 year old! You melt our hearts every day and are the perfect little girl for our family. We love you so much and are so blessed to get to celebrate you and your life at this Royal Party!
