You Okay?

Jaxson has started something new that is so cute. He’ll hear you say “ouch” and promptly asks “mama, you okay”. Or he’ll be watching football and see the players tackle each other and ask “daddy is he okay”. Yesterday was the funniest-he was playing with his new tools and hit the hammer on the screwdriver, looked at me and said “mama is he okay”. I told him “Yes Jaxson the hammer and screwdriver are okay”, he turns the two tools to him and promptly scolds them “you be nice” he said.

Christmas 2009

Our Christmas this year was a lot of fun. Jaxson was a very helpful present opener to everyone. Gift opening was by far much more entertaining this year with the constant excitement from Jaxson with each gift. We had a very busy two days and truly enjoyed the time and memories with our families.

Christmas Eve

Today's inclemental weather is making our Christmas eve plans questionable...

Just kidding- we are having a full afternoon of snow fluries which is very different to see. I think my camera caught 10 in this picture!
Jaxson could have cared less and was more interested in driving his 3 wheeler. We'll be heading out shortly to spend the evening with the Richter's- I hope the weather clears soon. Ha!

Christmas Break

I have the week off from work and am so excited to get the extra days at home with Jaxson. We had full day today, but Jaxson's favorite part of the day was a trip to the park.

Zilker Tree 2009

We took Jaxson for his first visit to the Zilker Tree. They shortened the trail of lights to just a half mile and it ends at the outside theatre where they were having performances. The length of the walk was perfect for us and Jaxson loved the big Christmas tree. He would tell us "oh wow look at the big Chissmas twee" then after the walk through the trail he was telling us "the big Chissmas twee is back". I haven't quite figured out the best setting for night pictures, so these are the best ones.

Happy 2nd Birthday Jaxson!

Today is Jaxson's 2nd birthday! Two years ago today our little family grew and it has been the most amazing 2 years of our life.

2nd Birthday Party

Jaxson had a fantastic 2nd birthday party yesterday. Several friends from school joined us for the fun and Jaxson showed his excitement for each guests arrival. The weather wasn't as warm as we had hoped for but that didn't keep us all from having smiles during the train ride. Gift opening was confusing for the 2 year old- he wanted to play with each gift and didn't understand why we couldn't open each gift and start playing. We are so blessed to have so many family members and friends join us to share a special birthday with our very special birthday boy.

Tomorrow is Jaxson's 2nd Birthday party- he is such a huge helper with preparing the cakes.

The Frame

It is with great joy and happiness that I present......the beginning of our frame!

The picture isn't great because it was hard to get it all in the picture & not include a random vehicle. It's a great start and we are so happy to see the changes. We've only seen this house on paper, so it's so exciting to walk through the living room, a bedroom or closet and finally see the picture in person.

Another Birthday

We've had another birthday in our house...the big 3-0 for Scott! We celebrated over the weekend with dinners out with the various families- and today was a normal day at home for us. Jaxson has been feeling bad since Saturday morning so it was a low key evening for us. Just before going to bed Jaxson did tell Scott "Happy Dirtday Daddy" .... we've been working on Happy Birthday- although it does come out as Happy Dirtday- it's still cute!!

Alright

Everytime the "Alright" song comes on Jaxson gets so excited. We were driving out to the farm last weekend & caught this video. I intended to just show how excited he gets, but we went on a rollercoaster of bumps which was pretty funny to see his reaction....it was a rough country road (notice the oil well go by in the video).
