Jungle Java

We found the most amazing place in Round Rock today- Jungle Java. Its a coffee shop with an inside play scape! A/C + fun = my kind of place!! There are two plays capes (one that requires a little extra help for Jaxson's age) and a toddler area that is just the perfect size. Jaxson loved it! He had so much fun he didn't want to leave! The best part- it only cost $3!!! How can you beat that!!

18 Month Check Up

Mr. Jaxson did so good at the doctors office today for his 18 month check up. He had to get 2 shots & didn't even shed a tear.
His 18 month stats:
Weight: 25.6 lbs (43 percentile for his age)
Height: 32.5 inches (56 percentile for his age)

Developmentally he is doing great! Our little man sure is growing up fast & we are loving every minute of it!

Father's Day 2009

Happy Father's Day! We had Father's Day at our house on Saturday night so that we could have plenty of time for the other fathers on Sunday- this was Scott's request, which worked out perfectly. Scott requested Chicken stirfry and fried rice- so Chef Jaxson & I got to work:

The meal was very good

After dinner Jaxson practiced kicking the ball- which is quite hilarious because he makes this loud grunting noise when he kicks! Jaxson wants to be just like Daddy in his favorite hat.

Holland Corn Festival

Today we met up with Ryan & Leighann Martinets for the Holland Corn Festival. Scott & Ryan attended this festival as kids & have many memories of spending time at Ryan's grandparents house in the big town of Holland (population 1102). The daily activies for the festival included everything from a 5K run, parade, horseshoe contest, corn seed spitting contest, corn cob throwing contest- oh, the fun continues.

We did have some tasty BBQ for lunch, but we were too full to enjoy a corn on the cob.... maybe next year.

Oh my gosh it has been SO hot lately!!! The high for today is 100! After a nice breezy morning walk I decided that the entertainment for today needed to happen this morning while it was breezy & not toasty hot! So we headed back over to the sprinkler park & sure enough- second times a charm! Jaxson loved the sprinkler park today- as long as daddy was close by-

Well we've finally come out from under the Motrin bottle- both Jaxson & I have been sick and relying on Motrin since Monday. It has not been fun at all!!!
Prior to getting sick I took these pictures. The dogs have been in desperate need of a haircut-



Oh- There's Marley & Tanner- they are LOVING their summer short hair!

We also went to the swim center at the Georgetown Rec center- there were only 15 people there!! Jaxson loved the water slide. I think it was the one time that I actually said I don't think its hot enough out. We'll go back to the swim center for sure!
