Jaxson...

Life with kids is fully of funny moments. This kid cracks us up daily, here's a few from today:

Scott "Jaxson please pick up all of these monster trucks off the bed"
Jaxson " but I can't I'm not an octopus"

Jaxson"mom today when I was digging for dinosaur bones I found so many rocks, tozens of them"
Me "dozens you mean"
Jaxson "no tozens, it's a lot"
And he walks away...

Me"Jaxson please put these toys in your room I can't even get up the stairs"
He opens his bedroom door and Marley goes running out
Me " buddy why is Marley in your room with the door closed"
Jaxson "I was playing hospital, I was pretending he's sick"
Oh boy! I couldn't even keep a straight face at that point!!!

Never a dull moment...

Walking!

This precious little girl is officially walking! She started with a few random steps on her birthday and would take a few here or there if she needed to, but never had the full confidence. Monday night I watched her just take off and do around seven steps then she stopped. I knew she would be full on walking in no time. Yesterday when I picked her up from school they said she'd been walking all day so I was super excited to get home and see what she would do. She of course took off like she had been hiding her walking skills. It wasn't just a few wobbly steps here or there she was cruising all over the place. So super cute! Just this week she seems like she's changed so much! She's eating all of the meals we are, trying out the spoon (major mess in her attempts), attempting to blow kisses, mouthing more sounds and of course singing and dancing. I love that each day brings something new, such a fun time!

Nikki's photographer was incredible! I love his style, his technique, and his eye for catching the unique moment. When those unique moments catch my kids I can't help but smile...maybe even laugh! I totally snagged these from his website and they were worth sharing!

Cheeks

There is no doubt that these two got their awesomely kissable cheeks from both of us! Crazy to look at pictures like this and see the similarities. We sure do make cute kids!

Bailey's First Birthday Party!

We had such a wonderful first birthday party for Bailey! We did a cute little cupcake theme which turned out to be so adorable!

Bailey woke up the morning of her party with a little fever and not feeling very well. But despite a few "sensitive moments" during the party she did very well. The first birthday parties are always a little overwhelming for the little ones! We had a great group of family and friends join us to celebrate her big day! She was spoiled with so many great gifts, the ribbons on the gifts were her favorite!

Bailey had her own cupcake to dig into...she didn't do much digging. She ate like a little lady...that's a first!

We had a cupcake bar for the kids to decorate their own cupcakes. It was a hit....a mess...but a hit!

What a great way to celebrate our sweet little Bailey! She is such a sweet little girl and we are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends to join us on her big day!!

First Year of Monthly Pictures

Birthday Happenings!!!

Little Miss has had a wonderful birthday! Started the day off with Happy Birthday serenade in bed, followed by a fun day with friends at school. After school we made a stop by the park for her favorite thing..the swings. We ate her favorite meal..waffles. This girl has been pampered..as she should be!! Tonight she took a total of 13 steps!!! Five steps to Scott, three steps to me and another five steps to a toy!!! What-A-Day!!
At this moment she is sound asleep in my arms, rocking away like the first day she was born! A am in heaven!!
A perfect birthday for a perfect little girl! Tomorrow we party..I can't wait!

Happy first birthday Bailey! Oh what a wonderful year it has been! You are the sweetest, happiest, most perfect little girl we could ever ask for! From your tiny little toes to your wild crazy hair...we love every inch of you!

Your big smile, sweet little voice and beautiful blue eyes are just some of the MANY amazing things about you! This past year has been filled with so many wonderful memories- seeing you smile for the first time, listening to you giggle, teething, eating with independence, dancing and singing, crawling and so many more!

You look so much like your brother, but in ways so completely different from him. You have the happiest personality! You love everyone around you and love to give sweet hugs to us which we adore!

You are so smart and learn things so quickly, I can't wait to see more of the unique YOU that you grow up to be. You stole our heart from the moment you came into our lives. You are the perfect daughter we prayed for and the perfect piece to our wonderful family!

We thank God for you every single day and are beyond amazed at the perfect little YOU that he brought into our family. We love you more than you could possibly imagine, this first year was incredible! We can't wait to celebrate your first birthday!
