Colorado Wedding Trip- Part 3

I mentioned that this venue was incredible...second to that were the incredibly adorable and oh SO creative touches that Nikki put into everything! I don't even have a picture of it all...it was so beautiful!

Here's a few pictures from before the wedding began.

Now...a few words about the wedding itself. I've been to a few weddings, I've been in a few weddings...and of course had a wedding of my own. BUT this one was by FAR the most personal wedding I have ever attended. The pastor/officiant didn't just "know of" Nikki and Gabe he knew Nikki and Gabe. It was like there was no one else in the room when he was speaking. The personal messages, the stories he shared, the way he connected with them throughout the entire message was incredible! Simply incredible!
SO....the million dollar question...what happened with the kids walking down the aisle....well...Bailey rode in the wagon and threw the ring bearer pillows onto the ground during her travels down the aisle. Jaxson pulled her like we had planned- but Ian just looked cute from the back row. Not even a tease with candy would bring him down the aisle. To his defense he had no nap that day...and well he's two, so he did what most two year olds would do. But he did look pretty darn cute in his little wedding outfit :)
Mr. and Mrs. Alford are official...I have no pictures from the actual wedding, but it did happen and they were beaming with joy! First dance...
Dancing with Dad...
Cutting the cake- the sword is a family tradition, pretty cool!
The grand exit...
Jaxson ran through the sparkler exit since they were all still going.
YES...the wedding was fabulous...what a wonderful weekend to celebrate and have so many great family members and friends of Nikki's and Gabe's come to join in the fun. Our family is complete with another brother-in-law, we are so excited for this new chapter in their life! We look forward to watching the pages unfold on the memories they have ahead of them! Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Alford, we love you guys!
