Father's Day Weekend

This past weekend we headed back out to Ink's lake for a wonderful weekend of camping to celebrate Father's Day. The weekend kicked off a little differently than we planned and we were certainly out of our comfort zone....one little word....electricity! We've always been able to get to the reservation desk and upgrade our reservation to a water & electric site....except this time! Lesson learned for sure! We actually got a great site, but the lack of electricity made for some interesting things to improvise on. We were so happy to get a spot right on the water and filled with trees. The sunsets were beautiful and the water was perfect!! Some pictures from day 1:

Day two kicked off with a little hiking and was filled with a whole lot of time in the water:

We finished the day with s'mores and glow sticks:

It's hard to tell but this is Marley, it worked perfectly to know where he was at!

We had another gorgeous sunset and this crane appeared too which was really neat to watch.
We are so blessed to have Scott! He is such an amazing example to our kids! He's our protector, provider, the one who provides endless love and always keeps us laughing! I love the way the kids look up to him and I love the way our kids have made him Daddy! He's the best and we love him big time! We had a great weekend celebrating him and look forward to our next trip...but this time with some electricity :)
