Potty Time!!

We bought a little potty a month or so ago that has been sitting in the bathroom- Jaxson will sit on it & understands what it is but has never actually put two & two together. So last night he's in the bathtub & tells me "poop", I asked him if he needed to sit on the potty & he said "yes, potty". So I put him on it & he sits there for a little- kind of smiling at me but I wasn't sure if he was just doing his usual where he just sits on it for fun. So I stand him up to get him back in the tub and..... he went potty in there! We were so excited for him & the smile on his face was priceless. We poured it into the big potty & Jaxson said "bye, bye potty"- it was so cute. I'm not sure if this will go anywhere- but its a good place to start!

Babysitting

Yesterday we babysat Carter while the Aston's went out for a anniversary dinner. Jaxson loved spending time with Carter- he read him books, held his hand, kissed his cheeks, showed him where his eyes are- we had lots of fun (Jaxson calls him Carker). Carter was super and we really enjoyed getting to watch him.

Can you see it.....

The long awaited words we have been waiting to hear have finally come "APPROVED" - hopefully at this time next month we will be starting the construction process on our new house. Ever since last week our thoughts and spare time have been filled with planning, preparing and scheduling for this next phase in the construction process. We are very excited, scared, anxious and most of all blessed to finally be at this phase. We can't wait to see the project evolve and will share with you pictures as it progresses. For now...here's our plan on paper...

It's Brian Time...

Saturday night it was Brian Time!
Brian was in town from Colorado, it was the first time that he got to meet Jaxson & I haven't seen him in 2+ years - so it was great to see him. We met up with a large group of friends at Uncle Billy's BBQ- it was like a huge reunion. Jaxson had a great time, we had a great time- it was so awesome how so many people from all over Texas came together to visit while Brian was in town!

Round Rock Duck Pond

Tonight we went by the Round Rock Duck Pond- I had completely forgotten about this awesome park. It is such a pretty park with a huge duck pond that Jaxson really enjoyed. There's a nice swing area, playground and a bunch of really cool looking old trees- we'll have to go back with a camera better than my cell phone- for now here's some fun pictures & video of our visit to the pond.

5 Year Anniversary

Five years ago today (7-17-04) I married my best friend, my soul mate, my everything... It's amazing to think back where life has taken us in the last five years- through good times & bad I couldn't have picked a better person to spend every minute of it with!

July 4th Weekend

We had a busy, but wonderful July 4th weekend. We started off by visiting the newest addition to The Raines family- Ms. Evelyn. She's so tiny and just a beautiful little baby! We couldn't pass up a second chance to go up to the hospital on Friday afternoon to see the Raines before they went back to San Antonio. The Astons were there with Carter, who is just a few weeks older- they were both sweet and adorable as usual. Jaxson was running around, making noise and being goofy as always- giving the new parents a taste of what is to come. Friday night we went over to Nana & Grandpa's where Jaxson enjoyed his version of swimming- filling buckets of water & pouring them on plants and outside of the pool. Aunt Nikki was in town and Jaxson was able to show her how he can say her name "Kiki"- that works for now :) Grandpa borrowed the neighbors bike to show Jaxson the awesome baby seat they have- he was a little uncertain about the helmet at first but fell in love with the bike. On his second bike ride he even fell asleep!!!
Saturday the 4th we headed out early to the parade in Lakeway to see Popo. This was Jaxson's second parade and he had a great time- he even got a balloon from a little boy- which he then let fly into the sky- it was fun while it lasted. Saturday evening we headed over to the Norwood's and then to Steph & Jared's. We didn't see many fireworks- it really made me miss being at our old house. Sunday was a nice day of relaxing!
Jaxson has learned the names of his classmates & he repeats them several times a day. He's also learned the word "No" which he is favoring at this moment as he throws a little fit. My favorite word of the weekend were "Bless you"- its too cute to hear him say bless you when you sneeze.
All in all it was a great weekend- I sure did enjoy the extra day at home with Jaxson and Scott.
