Easter Festivities #2

This year we were able to work our schedule to get more time together as a family on Easter. Oh what a huge blessing this was to us! We had a great breakfast, ate outside, and just took our time! And best of all we were able to go to our church and celebrate the true meaning of Easter! The kids looked so incredibly cute and were actually in good enough mood to get a good picture!

How funny is this, Bailey was trying to climb in his lap. And not too thrilled when she makes her arrival!
We had a quick egg hunt before it started to rain.

Then a few family pictures before lunch and nap time!

What a wonderful morning..the wrap up of our festivities is later today...to be continued...

Easter Festivities #1

We started off our Easter Festivities with a wonderful afternoon with Grammie and Popo. First up on the agenda was the neighborhood easter egg hunt. Bailey was a little confused on the whole concept of pick it up and put it in the basket, but Jaxson is a pro! The weather was perfect for the outing.

After our baskets were full we headed home to check out the goodies...Jaxson can put down a lot of sugar in a short amount of time...yikes! We relaxed a bit and played some in the backyard, then it was time for another Easter egg hunt with Grammie and Popo's eggs. It's not like Jaxson has any competition here...but he was full speed ahead to get everything as fast as possible!

Bailey started to get the idea of the eggs, she really liked putting them in her mouth...and then she figured out there was actually good stuff inside.
We had a nice dinner to wrap up our first day of Easter festivities....day 2...more egg hunts...more candy...is there a limit to these this is nuts?

Happy...Happy

Oh my...

I mean seriously precious!!

Egg decorating

Jaxson and I decorate eggs every year, he loves it! He's been carrying around the decorating kit waiting for me to be ready...kinda forgot to have eggs on hand for this. Tiny important detail! I also like to call this time of the year the season when I am reminded how to properly boil a hard boiled egg....we had a LOT of losers this year..oops!

Bluebonnets 2013

So as much as I want to envision how wonderful these pictures will turn out and the greatness of the bluebonnets year after year...the truth is there's a one year old in these pictures..and well she's the boss these days. Where she goes is where she goes...she won't look at you, she won't sit still, she certainly won't sit down and what you get is what you get. So...I can only hope as she gets older that these pictures will get better too. Jaxson is such a sport, he tried so hard to help me!
