Motorcycle Races

Scott and Jaxson had a special date last night to the Arenacross Motorcycle Races, they both had a blast!! We are so lucky to live so close to the Cedar Park Center and have really been impressed at the many events we've been able to attend there. Jaxson was so excited for his special surprise and was all smiles and cheers during the races. Scott said he'd drive his little toy motorcycle around the seats while the races were going on and quickly declare that he was the winner when that particular race was over.

36 Weeks

Well here we are at 36 weeks and just a few short weeks left! Every bump, kick and twist takes on a new feeling at this point as she continues to grow daily. At our appointment this week she was measuring 6 lbs 4 oz from the ultrasound and perfectly content where she is at. There were no changes to get excited about- no dilation, no softening..nothing! She's made herself comfy in there so far. I can't tell for sure if I've dropped at all or if I'm just growing more in other areas.

I can say one thing for sure...I'm super uncomfortable! My 35th week was pretty tough, the braxton hicks were stronger, I had cramping and a ton of back pain. This week has been pretty uneventful. I'm not sure if its because I'm too uncomfortable to walk much or what the deal is but I'm guessing next weeks appointment will show no change. I really hope I'm wrong!
We are going for weekly appointments now and each week they will check and see if there is progress. If I'm dilated 3-4 centimeters they will move the c-section up and if my body starts to labor we would go in for an early c-section. Jaxson was much bigger at this point so I'm guessing that was why my body had a easier time starting labor early.
We went for our hospital tour a few weeks ago which was really nice to see everything. While we were driving over there Jaxson asked if the doctor was going to take Bailey out while we were there, I'm not sure he grasps the concept that this is a couple day stay for us. He's really excited and is constantly talking to her and giving my belly hugs. I love that!
So we're just taking it day by day and ready for any changes should that be what the next day brings. Hopefully we'll have a more eventful update soon.

First Soccer Game

Jaxson had his first soccer game yesterday and did such a great job! He scored two goals and that of course was the highlight of the game for him. There was a lot of "Jaxson get it", "kick the ball", "go the other way" and a few "what are you doings" heard from his sideline cheerleaders but for a first game it went a lot better than we expected!

A Sprinkle Baby Shower

Saturday we had a little Sprinkle Baby Shower at our house, it was so much fun! I don't know if a "Sprinkle" is a new thing, but to me it is something small and just a little sprinkle of stuff to celebrate the new addition. I just wanted to celebrate Bailey coming into our life and share her room during this celebration. It was the perfect mix of people and the perfect number of people. It was so nice to have time to visit with everyone and not feel rushed to get through the "crowd". My sweet friends Whitney and Natalie did such a good job hostessing this and bringing the party to our house, leaving me nothing to do but enjoy the day!! The decorations they put together were so cute and the food was so yummy!

There adorable outfits were in every package, this little girl will never have a shortage of clothing.

We feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family around to join in this celebration. We are beyond excited and thankful for her life and I think this little shower was a perfect way to celebrate that.

Bailey's Room Reveal

Tada!! At last her beautiful room is done! If you know me I'd be in full labor preparing that last detail before I'd head to the hospital...the last details are complete and I could not be more excited about the finished outcome!

This room to me has been all about the details! From the fabric selection, to the hand made items...every last detail has come together so perfectly! So here's a breakdown of the details:

Handmade bedding made by me and Nana:

Lamp redo by me, handmade pillow by Nana:

Curtain redo by Nana, toy chest hand-me-down made by Bunca for Jaxson when he was a baby:

Copy cat of a Pottery Barn bookshelf made by Bunca, hairband holder on top made by Aunt Nikki:

Hairbow holder made by me and Jaxson, design copy cat from something I saw in a boutique:

Sun burst mirror made by me, painted by Daddy:

So...there you have it! One perfect little girly room fit for one perfect little girl. Now that the last detail is in place I'm ready to meet this little girl!!

Soccer Player

We officially have a soccer player in our house! Yesterday kicked off Jaxson's first season of Indoor Soccer at the YMCA. To say he was excited would be an understatement, this kid does sports at full blast. He was calling himself a "Soccer kid" from the minute we got home yesterday. He did great on the team and we were all smiles watching those kids at their first practice. The boys are oddly outnumbered on this team, which is weird to me but there were a few missing. The team is called the Texas Stars, they are green and Jaxson was able to get the number 8 jersey that he was hoping for...it helped that Scott helped hand them out too :)

Here's a little video from their practice, he's the one in the grey shirt with blue shorts.
