Chop, Chop

Today I made a major change in my hairstyle....and 6 inches later this what is left.
Scott was totally shocked when he got home from work, as he had no idea that I was going for a haircut. He loved it and so do I!

The Printer

So yesterday was Jaxson's first experience with the printer. It was so funny- he stood at the edge of the printer hunched over watching the paper come out. When one paper would finish he'd try to stick his hand in there to get the next paper to come out faster. When the print job was all done he then took a piece of paper from the trash & pushed it into the printer where the paper was just coming out of..... logical thinking. If the paper comes out from there- it should go back in right - it was so funny to watch him. He's a curious one for sure!

The Sign

So last night Jaxson is having his night snack, he finishes what he is eating & I asked him if he wanted more- he started doing these hand movements. I told Scott to get the Sign Language book we have & sure enough he was showing us the sign for more! HA- what a smart little man! Our oh so wonderful daycare teaches the kids different signs to help them communicate, we use the sign for please, milk and all done very regularly. It was so funny that he was signing for more & we didn't know it. Isn't it amazing what a 13 month old can teach you!

For Sale

We did it...the house is on the MARKET!!! It looks fantastic- lots of hard work for sure! This is our first house and it will be sad to leave- but the new project will make the move from here well worth it. I hope to post that it is sold soon....we've already had a showing 24 hours after it hit the market- so that's a great start.

Squeeky shoes

So Aunt Nikki got Jaxson these squeeky shoes when she was in China over the summer. They've been way too big for the past few months, but tonight Jaxson pulled them out- so we put them on. It seriously was the funniest thing. We put the shoes on & stood him up- they sqeeked as he rocked back & forth- then he got on his knees & crawled like there was something wrong. I encouraged him to stand up & once he got going there was no stopping the squeeky shoes. He just kept going & going, stopping every now & then to look down at them. The squeeky shoes will be coming out in the future when some energy is needed to be wasted- or just for a good laugh. Here's some video & a picture of the squeeky shoes. (Don't laugh at the sandles with the socks- we were ready for bed & then the fun shoes came out- no i'm not making my kid dress like a dork)

Picture of the week

This would have to be the picture of the week....he was so determined to walk in those boots- and so upset when they were way too heavy for his little legs. He gave it a good effort though.

Happy New Years!

We hope you all had a very Happy New Years and all arrived home safely too! It's hard to believe that its already 2009- I can remember being half asleep with Scott on the couch waiting to see what was going to happen when the clocks rolled over to 2000! Time flies!
We spent our New Years Eve doing something very "Austin" as we call it- we went downtown to the First Night Austin celebration. We walked the bridge & saw all of the interesting forms for "art" that were going on- some of them I really question how that could have been art. We ran into Nana & Grandpa Sir just in time to have them join us for a nice dinner on the patio of a pizzaria downtown. Afterwards we enjoyed the sites of a parade & ended the night with the burning of the clock on Auditorium shores. People watching was by far the best part of the night- Austin sure has a mix of some weird souls! All in all it was a great night- just to get out & do something we haven't done, doing it as a family & making new memories.
We look forward to what 2009 has in store & all of the memories to be made.
