Easter 2011

We had such a fun filled day of Easter activities...packed full of a whole lot of great people and lots of candy. By the end of the weekend Jaxson had attended four egg hunts and gotten four baskets full of Easter goodies!

After church the Richter's met over at our house for our first Easter in the house, we had a great brunch and a fun Easter egg hunt.

Grammie brought over cascarones which were so much fun to smash on everyones heads...don't say "don't get me"...that's easily interpreted as smash them on all me which I quickly learned!


That afternoon we headed over to my parents house for our first Easter with Ian.

Nana and Bunca just love their two grandbabies!

Could these two be any cuter! Next year Ian will be giving Jaxson a run for his money in the Easter egg hunt!

We had such a great holiday with our families and feel so blessed to praise God for all that he has done for us!!

The Ring Bearer

Yesterday Jaxson held a very special role as the ring bearer in a very special wedding for Grayson Norwood and Chris Lopez. To say he did a great job is an understatement- he was AWESOME!! We are so proud of him! He is pretty particular about his clothing so I was quite worried leading up to the wedding that he would give me problems with the tuxedo. But when we went to get him dressed he shocked me saying "mommy I'm ready to get fancy" and even was worried about getting messy while eating his dinner! I have so many great pictures from the wedding it was such a beautiful wedding and a gorgeous venue! What great memories!












When he was done eating and the music was going he tore up the dance floor for the rest of the night. At one point he said "Mommy can you take this tie off so I can dance some more".

Easter Egg Decorating

Today we began our Easter preparations by decorating Easter eggs.

Our favorite sweet neighbor Hannah came over to help with the masterpiece.

With careful attention to detail....

the final masterpiece is finished....beauty is in the eye of the beholder..right?!?

We all had fun so that's what matters!

At the car wash..

We love all of the beautiful Oak trees at our house..but this time of the year they are painfully annoying. Scott has filled 74 bags of leaves and EVERYTHING is covered in green nasty Oak pollen. Today we had a free afternoon and my favorite little helper helped me clean my car squeeky clean from the inside out!



He took a lot of snack breaks from all of the hard work..


And every car cleaning should end with a ride on the swings.

It's Ian time...

Now that Stephanie has gone back to work I'm no longer getting my wonderful lunch dates with the always adorable Ian....so we stopped by for a visit today.
He was full of smiles and was telling us all about his week ...
