We went to the coolest place today out in Spicewood, just an hour or so away from our house. It's a gorgeous swimming hole- one of the highest rated in Texas...who knew. It's like a resort out in the middle of the hill country. They even have this amazing butterfly garden and we some huge butterflies while we were there.







The trees around the swimming area are HUGE! They have cliff jumping area, rope swinging, a grotto & perfect water for a very hot Texas day! We don't have many pics from the water because we were enjoying the water....well also my nice camera is not waterproof!

Photo Shoot

Yesterday I had my first real photo shoot. I met up with the Raines family at the Brushy Creek Lake to take pictures for Evelyn's first birthday. Evie did wonderful and we captured some pretty precious moments of this little cutie!

Business is Booming

Jaxson's short order cooking business has made a recent technology upgrade to orders via Blackberry.

It's brought in traffic from all parts of town and caused quite a traffic jam.

Housewarming Party

Yesterday we had our big housewarming party. It was so great to celebrate the end of this project with all of our friends and family. I didn't get any pictures during the party except a few cute ones of Jaxson showing off his "new house" to his friends.

Swimming Graduation

Today was Jaxson's final swimming lesson and he was so excited to have some special guests visit him for his last class. He showed everyone how he can kick, jump and make a big splash, go under water, blow bubbles and play some pretty fun water games. We had a blast during this swimming class and his confidence in the water is a complete 180 from the first day of class when he had a death grip on Scott's neck.

We are very proud of our little swimming graduate!

A makeover...

A boring white shower curtain gets a makeover.

It meets a bottle of green fabric paint and some painters tape....

If you spend anytime in the blog world there are a lot of people who share recipes on their blogs. We have managed to perfect the best salad ever so I figured I'd share a recipe on my blog! I think I'll call it:

The Famous Richter Salad

Ingredients:
Mixed Greens
Light Rasberry Vinaigrette
Apple (Pink Lady apples are perfect)- thin slices, as much as you want
Hand full of dried cranberries
Candied walnuts
Blue Cheese

Directions:
Dump, toss....

A famous little man was caught looking oh so cute at a recent baseball game and the Georgetown newspaper published his smiling little face in their recent article about the United Way night at a Round Rock Express game.

Swimming Lessons

Today we started swimming lessons at a pool in Round Rock. Jaxson was SO hyper and excited to go to swimming lessons. We got to the pool and we were getting settled- Jaxson takes his shirt off like the other boys...then got about 1 inch down on removing everything else...yikes!

All three of us were able to get into the pool and we had a blast. Jaxson had a death grip at first but by the end of the lesson he was kicking, blowing bubbles and laying on his back.

It is a two week long class that I can already tell will be perfect for Jaxson....I don't know if it will help his comfort with sprinklers...but when we got out of the pool he wanted to get back in! I think we'll have a little pool fish in no time.

Weekend Recap in Pics

This pic has nothing really to do with our weekend other than I've finally gotten my camera book out and worked on perfecting a few techniques this weekend.

We went to Carter's 1st Birthday party- I swear we were just visiting this little guy at the hospital when he was born. Jaxson was less than pleased here in this pic that the "babies" getting his line of cars out of line...I guess he forgot those cars were not his.

Okay- back to the weekend. This of course is helping daddy with the lawn. When I look at this pic I think Jaxson is saying "Hey dadddy, I've got this side- okay"

And a quick update on the potty training- he's still doing fantstic! While at school this week he learned how to do like a really big boy- standing up! That shocked me the first time he showed me how to do that.

Random Stuff

A couple of random things-

Yesterday Jaxson had his first day back to school after potty training and he went an entire day without accidents. We are so proud of him!! This hummingbird visits our feeder many times throughout the day- Jaxson has decided to name him "Grant"....no clue why but I think it's funny!

We set up a stand in the back to put a few bird feeders on, I'm curious to see what he'll name the birds when they start coming around. This video is from this past weekend at our neighbors party. The neighbor girl Hannah let Jaxson play with every single toy she owned- this moment with the guitar makes me laugh!
