Happy Thanksgiving

We hope everyone is having a fantastic Thanksgiving. We certainly have more to be thankful for this year than I could ever have imagined. To wake up in a beautiful home, next to my amazing husband, snuggle with the most perfect little boy ever are certainly at the top of my list. For good jobs that at times can be stressful but are stable in this economy is another on the list. For the church we have grown our faith in and the amazing friendships we have developed through that church. For the awesome support and love of our families and friends. It is all of these blessings and so many more that we celebrated today and will continue to celebrate throughout the many Thanksgiving meals we are attending this weekend.

Today's Thanksgiving meal was a first of I hope many to come in the future. We had Thanksgiving meal at our house with the Richter's. There was lots of football that was played and football that was discussed as the food was cooking.

This was my first turkey and I'm so thankful that it turned out good. I had all of the confidence that it would be good..but you never know what could happen.

Scott carved his first turkey and did a great job with the direction of his dad.

Everyone chipped in on the sides and it all came together as a very tasty feast!

After dinner sitting on the floor and coloring for probably an hour was on Jaxson's list and because he has Popo wrapped around his finger..Popo joined him on the floor too!

Our day with the Richter's was great and I look forward to many more Thanksgivings here at our house. We are wrapping up the night with the Longhorns vs Aggies football game. The boys are currently playing football in front of the TV while watching football- where does Jaxson find this energy!

While they are watching football I'm planning my next big adventure...Black Friday shopping!

On this Thanksgiving we feel so blessed!

Doctor

Yesterday Jaxson visited the doctor for what ended up being a bad case of the allergies. While he was there he got a flu shot and did such a great job. He was not happy about the "bandid" but did like the stickers that came with the visit.

While we were finishing up dinner last night Jaxson was talking about going to the doctor and telling Daddy all about it. Scott told him if he wanted he could be a doctor when he grew up. Jaxson's immediate reponse was,

"I don't want to be a doctor, I want to be a daddy just like you when I grow up"

SO SWEET!!!

Colorado Vacation- Day 4

Day 4 was filled will a great trip to the Zoo. I'd have to put this zoo on the top of the list of great zoo's that we have been to. Jaxson had a BLAST on this carousel ride- he named his horse "Roger".

We went into a bird area were you could feed these birds right from your hands- they were every where!

We saw lots of animals, but I think the hightlight was the giraffe area where you could feed the giraffes crackers from your hands. They were very friendly giraffes and very hungry giraffes!

At the end of the zoo trip we rode this ski chair to get a overhead view of the zoo. Both Scott and Jaxson loved the ride...me...not so much! I've never been afraid of heights but I was freaked out! The employee at the top asked me if I needed a ride down...but I toughed it out! I think the idea of having a child next to me amplified my fears!

This was a great way to end our trip to Colorado. We had such a great time and have so many memories that we will talk about for years to come! Jaxson was so amazing on our trip! We feel so blessed to be able to take this trip with him and as a family!

Colorado Vacation- Day 3

Day 3 of our vacation started off at the Air Force Academy. We did a little walking and a little driving around the campus to see all of the sights. Jaxson could have walked away with a airplane from the gift shop and been satisfied- he loves his airplane!

Our afternoon was spent walking around at Helen Hunt Falls and the surrounding areas. This was a gorgeous hike and we really saw some amazing views of Colorado Springs from this hike.

Jaxson spent the entire walk up the trail on daddy's shoulders. The walk down he walked himself and enjoyed sliding around on the crushed granite on the trail- he laughed the entire way down!

After the falls we went over to this fancy hotel the Broadmoor to walk around. The fall trees on their property were amazing and we were breathless at how gorgeous everything was around this hotel!

Day 3 was a very busy day filled with lots of memories, laughter and great stories!

Colorado Vacation- Day 2

Day 2 of our Colorado vacation started off in Woodland Park at the Dinosaur Museum. I think my funniest memory of going to this place is that they had this Dinosaur sounds CD playing throughout the facility and Jaxson would say "what's that noise" every time he would hear it.

We spent the afternoon at the Garden of the Gods. This place is so amazing and every corner you turned was a picture perfect moment- but the pictures really don't do justice to actually being there in person.

Jaxson had a blast running around and climbing on rocks- he was exhausted...and really so were we! The fall colors were so amazing and we were so happy to get to see the changing of the trees on our trip. Day 2 was filled with more great memories and beautiful pictures!
