Lake Trip Part One
I have SO many great pictures from our trip I'm struggling with figuring out where to even start!
We loaded the car on Thursday after a quick lunch and headed on the road. We were excited and SO ready to get going! The dogs were on edge and wouldn't settle down for close to four hours...they finally laid down and passed out.
By the time we made it to Belton I already needed a potty break :) When we were exiting Jaxson said "Are we in Minnesota"....this was the beginning of the same question over and over and we were only 45 minutes from home.
I loaded Jaxson up with a ton of stuff to do, but really he just wanted to watch movies. He'd get about 30 minutes into the movie and want to move onto another movie. Crazy kid!
We arrived in Wichita, KS at around 9 and smuggled the dogs into our hotel ...oops forgot to check if it was Pet friendly. Jaxson and the dogs were WOUND UP!! We finally got them to settle down and headed to sleep...to get up for our 4am departure.
Day two was a long 12 + hours but we made it there by dinner time and a nice evening out on the lake. Captain Jaxson enjoyed driving the boat.
Ian's first trip on the lake was a lot of fun for him.
Getting to see Nikki after several months... awesome!!
After our boat trip Jaxson and Bunca headed out for a paddle boat ride.
Every trip to the lake must include smores.
And to round it all off...a perfect sunset.
