Baseball

This past weekend Jaxson was asked to play in a tournament with a team out of Cedar Park. The coaches wanted to take a team of t-ball players that were really good and put them into a coach pitch tournament to see how they would do. They were short two players so they reached out to our team to get Jaxson and another kid Garrett. Those two were the only two who played coach pitch. The cool part about it is these kids made the team that week. They had their first practice that Tuesday and four days later the tournament started. They had a blast! They played hard, they fought each game like they had been playing together all year and really impressed us all. Out of 10 teams, they placed 3rd in the tournament. Now that's an incredible story to tell! The coaches did a great job of coaching through the games and encouraging them in their strengths and guiding them in their weaknesses. Jaxson had the opportunity to play a lot of different areas of the field than he usually does, and surprisingly he was SO excited about being catcher! And the ultimate highlight of the game was he got his first home run! What a fun weekend for these kids and what a great testament to these kids that you can win at anything if you try hard enough!
