Inks Lake Camping

This past weekend we spent a fabulous weekend at Inks Lake camping! We made a great investment in this fabulous tent, and a second screen tent to protect our picnic table. Those squirrels are aggressive and smart!

Our fabulous neighbors joined us on Friday for lunch, time in the water and some fishing. It was great having them there. I'm confident we will make another trip out there with them!

I was most anxious and worried about how Bailey would respond to this setting- she did FABULOUS! She played hard, slept hard and played hard again! Bailey loves being outside and running free- she was in her element this weekend!

Each night we had a gorgeous sunset and of course yummy smores!

The kids really enjoyed running around the tent and bouncing on the bed. They laughed and laughed and laughed! And of course fun with glow sticks are a must for a dark night at the lake.

The kids slept hard and woke up read to go again! We started off the morning by heading down to the park, played some checkers on the park porch and the boys took a ride out in a Kayak.

While Bailey took a nap the boys took a great hiking adventure.

Once the heat kicked up we headed back to the water.

This last picture is flipped but too cool to not include. The last night we had a awesome sunset as the storm started to roll in. We did have rain the last night, but it was the perfect white noise and neither one of the kids woke up during the rain.

If you ever asked me if I would be up for camping, much less tent camping I would likely say no. I took a risk to go out of my comfort zone to experience something awesome and make memories with our kids and as a family...success in my book! We had such a fantastic time and I can honestly say I can not wait to do it again....maybe not in the heat of summer, but we will certainly do this again!
