1st Grade End of Year

Jaxson had his 1st grade end of year awards and won a lot of great awards this year.

  • Panther Reading Club 325+ books read for the year
  • 6 Hours Reading Club
  • Citizenship Award
  • Mileage club- 43 miles
1st grade has been so fun for Jaxson! He's excelled in so many areas and continues to challenge himself even when he's not in school. He loves to have us give him difficult math problems to solve-reminds me of Nikki when he does that :) He finished top in his class as having the highest reading level and in the top 3 for being at the highest math speed test. He loves math and has decided that is his favorite subject so far. He is so excited for 2nd grade and we are so blessed that he had such a wonderful teacher this year at Liberty Hill Elementary.

Last day of school pictures
First day of school vs last day of school!
Over the last month we have heard several stories from friends and teachers about Jaxson that are such HUGE proud parent moments!
One night we had Jaxson's best friends family over and his mom was sharing that her son had come home from school one day and was telling her all about the different things that God had made. She asked him where he had heard about all of this and he said from his friend Jaxson! To hear that Jaxson shares about God to his friends just makes me burst with happiness.
Another situation, I had brought Jaxson over to play at a friends house and was visiting with the parents before leaving. The dad was telling me that his son told him that Jaxson was one of the good kids, that he's a good guy and never gets in trouble! To see his character described through the eyes of another child was so amazing!
And lastly we were visiting with his teacher Mrs. Splawn and she was telling me about how he's such a hard worker and such a great leader in the class and to his friends. This is something Scott & I have prayed about for Jaxson and that we are constantly talking to him about and showing him examples of. We want him to be a leader, not a follower and to see that he is displaying that in his class and to his friends just makes us so happy.

Jaxson amazes us every day and we are so excited to see what 2nd grade brings!!
