Sea World 2013

A few weeks ago we headed out for a fun weekend in San Antonio to make some memories with the kids at Sea World. We had our fair share of challenges and lessons learned on this first trip...but we certainly won't make it our last trip, we'll just make our next trip better :) We arrived on Friday night to a fabulous hotel to be ready to begin our fun first thing in the morning.

Our awesome hotel had a shuttle which took us right up to the front, so we didn't have to deal with parking and walking to the gate. We were the second family in line at one of the entrance points, what a great start to our morning!
Our first stop was over to see the dolphins, which you can't feed anymore...major bummer, but the kids still loved getting up close to the dolphins...fearless!!
Next up was the shark tank and other fish, so cool to see them up close!
The next stop was some play time for the kids at one of the playgrounds.
After we burned off some energy it was time for the main attraction...the big man himself..Shamu!!
At the center of Sea World is the Bay of Play, it is fabulous. It has a little bit of everything and we certainly spent a good amount of time here as there was fun stuff for Bailey and Jaxson!

In the afternoon we took the shuttle back to the hotel to allow Bailey time to rest and re-energize ourselves for more fun. After a quick bite to eat we headed over for another fun show.
Before the show began this wonderful breeze came in and cooled everything off...but it also brought in a huge rain storm. So....the show was cancelled and we hung out until the rain passed. We finished off our first day by going to a fun block party over in the Bay of Play, Bailey even got up and danced!
Our awesome hotel was having a pool party, so we wrapped up the night in the water and hit the bed for a much needed night of sleep!

Day two we kicked off with more time with the dolphins, they were much more willing to come up to us and even got a little crazy in the water cruising around trying to splash people. I had one come up to me that I was able to pet, which was really cool!
We went over to see the Sea Lions and stayed around for the show, which the kids loved!

Next up was more time in the Bay of Play and splashing around in the water...it was a hot day for sure!
After we splashed around in the water we did our final lap around the park and visited the Penguins....who stink terribly, but the building was in the a/c so major SCORE!
We saw some shows, we rode some rides, we got a little wet...and we had a lot of fun! We left Sea World with some great memories and certainly look forward to our next trip!
