Baseball
This past weekend Jaxson was asked to play in a tournament with a team out of Cedar Park. The coaches wanted to take a team of t-ball players that were really good and put them into a coach pitch tournament to see how they would do. They were short two players so they reached out to our team to get Jaxson and another kid Garrett. Those two were the only two who played coach pitch. The cool part about it is these kids made the team that week. They had their first practice that Tuesday and four days later the tournament started. They had a blast! They played hard, they fought each game like they had been playing together all year and really impressed us all. Out of 10 teams, they placed 3rd in the tournament. Now that's an incredible story to tell!
The coaches did a great job of coaching through the games and encouraging them in their strengths and guiding them in their weaknesses. Jaxson had the opportunity to play a lot of different areas of the field than he usually does, and surprisingly he was SO excited about being catcher! And the ultimate highlight of the game was he got his first home run! What a fun weekend for these kids and what a great testament to these kids that you can win at anything if you try hard enough!

Easter 2014
We had a great Easter weekend, there was lots of candy consumed and lots of family gatherings. Saturday night we gathered for a delicious meal, Easter egg hunt and time together at the Powers house. The kids had a great time and loved the findings in their eggs.
Easter morning Jaxson ran around the house looking for his basket...in all the wrong places....announcing "why did the Easter bunny not leave anything?".... he was clearly excited to find his basket! And of course their new favorite movie Frozen has been viewed multiple times. Bailey had to immediately strip down and put on her new bathing suit, she was pretty excited!
How precious is this picture of these two!
We had Easter dinner and more egg hunts at our house with the Richter's on Easter day. The kids had a blast digging for eggs, eating as much candy as they could handle and having fun all day long.
