She's a mover....

Ever since I started feeling Bailey move I've been shocked at how active she is. It's funny how you forget some of the pregnancy stuff, I don't really remember if Jaxson was this active this early on. So last night I lay down in the bed to watch TV with Scott and away she goes for her nightly routine. It was like she was doing flip flops in there!! I'd mentioned I haven't felt her on the outside because they said it would happen later because of her position in my placenta. Well she was really being active so I felt around and sure enough...BANG she hits my hand. So Scott put his hand in place and his eyes just lit up! Over and over and over again she was moving and he could feel it! It was so exciting last night for both of us to feel her at the same time, what a huge blessing! I notice she is the most active at night and in the middle of the night. The other night she woke me up out of my sleep and almost every night when I get up to go to the bathroom and lay back down she starts being really active again. I sure hope she gets her days and nights figured out in the next few months or I'm going to be one tired mama when she comes!

Pumpkin Patch

What better way to welcome October than to head to Marble Falls for our annual Pumpkin Patch trip. The weather was perfect, the crowd was minimal and we had a fantastic time!! We were a little uncertain how the drought would affect them, but everything was just perfect as usual. We did a little bit of everything...and have a lot of pictures from our morning to share!

We sure are lucky to have such a fun place so close to us, what a great way to start the day!!

20 Weeks

I am 20 weeks pregnant and officially half way there...wow that is just crazy! I am totally loving the second trimester energy and even more loving feeling our sweet girl move. She is positioned at the back of my placenta, which overall really means nothing at all except when it comes to her movement. Instead of feeling her at the front right now I feel her more at the back- which is hard to explain. The nurse also said it could take a few extra weeks to feel her from the outside because of this, but not to worry we would feel her from the outside soon enough. So far she is a very active baby when she gets going and I really love laying in bed at night feeling her move, which seems to be her most active time of the day. In the words of the nurse I'm "making this look easy"...which is great to hear! My belly size, my weight gain and overall everything is just PERFECT! Music to my ears!!

The last four weeks have been filled with selling boy clothes and not a whole lot more. I have been very successful selling Jaxson's clothes and just have a few things left, which has been really encouraging. I have bought a few adorable things, excited family members have bought a lot of things and just a few days ago my mom and I hit up a consignment sale and made out big! Girl shopping is just SOOOO much fun!

We have also made one very important decision...her name! When we came to deciding on a girl name oddly enough it was kind of hard- isn't it funny how you go completely blank when you have to actually make a decision. We had a short list..slept on that list...and made a decision....

BAILEY ANN RICHTER

Ann is my middle name, part of my moms name and my dad's mom's middle name. I think its just perfect for her!

We have been nothing but smiles watching Jaxson grow on the idea of having a sister and getting excited right along with us. Almost daily he gives my belly a hug and will tickle her from the outside. Every night when we say prayers we thank God for Bailey and pray that she is healthy. The other night he leans in to me in a really sweet voice and says "and that she stays snugly and warm". He also told me the other day that she was talking to me and was telling me that I needed to feed her. It's so funny the stuff that he says! Just hearing him say her name and love on her from the outside makes me so excited to see him be a Big Brother!

The coming weeks will be very busy for us, but we do have some projects for the nursery lined up in all of that. I am so excited to see it all come together...while we do love pink for girls...pink will not be the focal color of this room. That is one thing Scott and I both agree on. We have an adorable plan in mind and I can't wait to start piecing it together.

Day Out With Thomas

Grammie and Popo wanted to take Jaxson to the Day out with Thomas event in Burnet and we were lucky enough to come along as well. Jaxson LOVES Thomas and his excitement when we told him leading up to the moment he saw Thomas come up the tracks were priceless! We went at a perfect time of the day as the weather wasn't too hot. Despite not having seats next to each other on the train we took turns with the little man and everyone had a blast!

You can hear Jaxson in the background of this video getting so excited, at one point he says "Thomas I'm right here" as he waves to Thomas. It was seriously SOOO cute!!

A beach weekend

This past weekend we enjoyed a very fun weekend at the beach! We left early on Friday and drove out to Galveston for a mini weekend vacation. First we hit up The Strand for some lunch and of course candy at La Kings.

After we filled our tummies we met up with our friends who we were spending the weekend with at this great condo. You can't beat a condo with a short block and a half walk to the beach! Jaxson could not wait to finally get to the beach and the weather was perfect Friday for a quick visit.

Saturday morning we were up and back to the beach, with another perfect day of weather! The day was filled with football, wrestling on the beach, sand castle construction and destroying, wave jumping, beach toys, seagull chasing and a whole lot of fun memories being made!

We had hoped to hit up the beach one last time on Sunday morning but oddly enough it was raining! So we made one last visit to The Strand and headed back for home. We all had such a great time this weekend and it was so exciting for all of us to experience the first beach trip for all of our kids. I just love the excitement that you see in a child when they experience something new. I sure do look forward to more beach trips and great memories as a family in the years to come!

No Wheels

Tonight Scott started training Jaxson how to ride his bike without training wheels. He has a lot of work to do on balance and patience...but all in all he did an excellent job for the first night!

16 Weeks

I am 16 weeks pregnant as of this last Wednesday and this has to be the best week so far of this pregnancy! Finding out that we are having a girl has been both shocking and extremely exciting!

The bump is certainly growing and showing these days. I can not wait to feel her moving around and kicking in there. That has to be my favorite part of being pregnant!

This past four weeks I have moved away from the craving of popcorn and been craving fruits and salad. My appetite is completely back so most days I feel like I crave anything I can think of and want to just eat and eat...and then I realize I don't have room for as much food as I think I do. My energy is kind of back- I've made several homemade cookies, which makes me think it is back. But overall its pretty short lived, I can go go go and then I feel like I'm about to pass out and sleep for hours. So I try to pace myself.

This weekend has been filled with hours and hours of this....

sorting through Jaxson's old clothes. Nearly four years of clothes builds up quickly...like 12 bins full of clothes. It was quite overwhelming at first but I got a good routine together and that helped. I can successfully say at this hour 24 hours after starting this project I've sold everything from newborn to 12 months, and the remaining 3 years of clothes is up on Craigslist. The office has stacks and stacks of clothes that looks like chaos, but I know what each one means. Today after selling all of that clothes I made my first trip to Carters at the Outlet mall. Boy was it weird to walk to "that side" of the store! I got several "daddy's favorite" and "mommy's girl" sets that are so darn cute...and of course a set of hair bows. If you don't remember what Jaxson looked like when he was born...he had a ton of hair and I'm planning on Baby Girl to have the same. If she takes after me she'll have hair to her elbow by the time she's two :) I can't wait!
This little one has us so excited and while I don't want to rush this pregnancy as it is my last, I just can't wait to see her sweet little face! Every day we pray that she continues to grow healthy and always talk with Jaxson about his sister in mommy's tummy. We are beyond overjoyed and blessed to be this far and look forward to the next months ahead!
